Now I've seen some nice pics, in a dutch tread.
The color of the F's are very god, particularly i notised Fumachers pics, but other of you are getting the same nice color...
Do you do someting special to get it, is it the lens, or the setup by the camera? Please help me!

.

That effect is created bij a special filter on the lens. It's called a circulair polarising filter (polafilter). its just 2 of those special glasses which filter out some light. bij rotating the front end of the filter you can acchieve some very special effects. At clear skies the blue sky is much bluer and reflections from water/glass/cars can be reduced.

When shooting cars you can get a stronger color effect.

A while ago i made two pictures, with the polafilter effect (jes its a suzuki, not mine but i have a suzuki of my own)

Pictures were made at same settings, AV mode at F4.5

First picture has the pola neutral, no significant difference compared to normal. Second one has pola rotated to max effect. Notice the difference in the reflections on the cars paint, and the effect on the window.

The effect was to radical for me, most of the time i use just a little to make the cars reflections less and some extra color. setting is between those of above to make the picture better natural looking.

I use Hoya Circ Polarizing filter. there are cheaper ones but they perform not that great. I suggest Hoya or B+W (more expensive

Tip! Consider the BG-E3 Battery grip on your 400D! it stores 2 batteries, and the camera is much better in your hands

Hi Morten...

Here you go, in english!

I can't say, what you can do better on the two first pictures, but the last one, I think you should have tried with a lower shutterspeed... About 1/60 or 1/80..

@kenneth. How do you like your polafilter? Pretty cool huh! your 4th picture with that wheel reflecting. that kept me looking for a while. Cool!

@morten. Welcome here. The denmark group is getting larger! Nice pictures. That sundown effect is nice. Next time a Ferrari instead of that VW :

The 4th picture is taken through the door, the door is open, and then through the intake...
It's a nice shot...
