Iso Grifo

Maybe not many people know this marque...

If I am correct the first two cars with the large bulge are 7 litres.

That's correct, there's also a blue one in Holland and I believe Joop Stolze has several ISO's for sale, including a 7-litre.

Ha, do not forget my ride !

Its a 5,3 ltr as I personally do not like the "power bulge" which come with the 7 ltrs and also the 7 ltrs are a bit nose heavy so I cose the small block Grifo

That's a nice one Sei!! And next to a Maserati van. That must be a one-off!!:D Also yours??

sei cilindri 20-11-2009 20:27

Its definitely a one off but not Maserati I am afraid, that’s just a practical joke.
The van is neither Maserati nor VW powered.
Its 4wd which can be switched to 2wd in the gearbox and powered by a purpose build , normally aspirated 2.35 quad cam high compression Subaru engine.
Of course the brakes are also up rated with vented disc all around in the front complemented with 911 bi-turbo callipers.
Everything else is also electric, from the heated mirrors right thru to electric heated Recaro seats and electric separation window ....
And yes , its also mine

Cool car...

... with or without the power bulge. And pretty rare too!
Strange but brutally effective combination of Italian styling and US mucle car motorisation.

Welcome and thanks for sharing the pics.

Is this the famous Baracuda? (I'm not that familiar with US classics) If so, what are the specs of this beefy looking thing?
.

Flinch 26-11-2009 01:08

Hmmmm, specs? Welllllll, burnouts up until 3rd gear (manual car) and tiny drum brakes around :P Fun car though, fast, really great road holding up until 140km/h, nascar-like sound and no power breaks or power steering. It is a wild fish!!!
